Seafood stew.  Combine the ingredients, in lalyers, in one large pot.  Once cooked, drain the juice (serve in soup bowls) and serve steaming hot.

  • Diced tomatoes as a base.  Combine with water and some wine. Add spices and bring to a boil.
  • Corn on the cob goes in next.
  • Add Potatoes and Onions.  I like small potatoes and Walla Walla sweet onions
  • Sausage.  Spicy Italian is a good choice cut into bite size pieces.
  • Bring all this to a boil.
  • Mixed seafood bag.  This is a frozen selection of all kinds of seafood bites.
  • Shrimp, prawns, muscles and clams and what ever looks fresh and good.
  • White fish like Tilapia.
  • Crab.  Dungeness, snow or what is in season.
  • Don’t forget some spices.

Reduce heat and cover to make sure everything is cooked.  The crab and white fish should cook by steam and lay on top of the shell fish

“Monkey Food” is a term created by Dad because he thought we looked like a bunch of monkeys while we ate.
